About GJ Joinery

G.J. Joinery was established in 1985 after an intense and wide-ranging seven year apprenticeship with 'Feakes Brothers', a very well known bespoke joinery manufacturer.

We began in a beautiful 18th Century converted hayloft in old Bexley Village, Kent. Building on our expertise and attention to detail, we quickly established a reputation for excellence, producing high quality bespoke joinery and becoming one of the leading joinery manufacturers in South East London and Kent.

In 1997, due to the increase in our customer base and a demand for service, we moved to our larger premises located elsewhere in Old Bexley.

We believe that the main contributor to our long running and continued success has been the investment in high quality machinery and staff. In 2003 we purchased our first hydraulic copy-lathe, however soon after we realised this machine wasn't capable of keeping up with the demand for high quality turnings so in 2006 we visited Olbernhau in Germany and purchased a 'Wema 7000' CNC lathe. This new machine, in conjunction with specialist MegaCAD software, facilitates the production of top quality spindles, newel posts and a multitude of wooden components quickly, efficiently and at extremely competitive prices.
